HarvestGold Adds Two More Team Members – Continues to Recruit
As HarvestGold continues another record year of growth, we have added two new team members who will play significant roles in our continued expansion.  Eric Van Steenlandt most recently held an executive level role in the sales organization at Jergens Inc. and managed the Salesforce implementation there which included integration to the back-end MRP system.  Based out of Cleveland, Ohio, Eric will assist with business development in the manufacturing vertical, and project management for some of our more complex Salesforce implementations.  Linda Johnson is a long-time member of the Salesforce comomunity with experience in the banking / financial services market, a certified salesforece administrator, and past president for two years running of the Philadelphia User Group.    We are extremely excited that Linda’s Salesforce administration and training skills will contribute greatly to our delivery capacity and capabilities in Eastern PA and the NE Region.  Linda will work directly with Jim Ranieri (also out of the Philadelphia area) to assist with our business development and expansion activities in the area.  As we continue to grow, we will continue to add qualified consultants to our team.  If you or anyone you know is interested in exploring consulting opportunities with HarvestGold, please feel free to submit your resume to us at info@harvest-gold.com.

HarvestGold has grown every year since our start in 2003, and the company is experiencing record growth this year as well.  We continue to expand geographically, and into targeted vertical markets such as Insurance and Manufacturing.  We continue to look for creative ways to expand our business through organic growth and strategic partnerships.  In following with our business objectives and partnership model, HarvestGold is very excited to announce that we have partnered with theNavigatorGroup, based out of Philadelphia, PA, to expand our delivery capacity and capabilities in the Northeast Region.

“This partnership arrangement between HarvestGold and theNavigatorGroup will serve to leverage and expand HarvestGold’s excellent reputation, service and brand into a large part of the Northeast and Mid Atlantic states … we are very, very excited”

Jim Ranieri, President – theNavigatorGroup

“Jim’s organization focuses as much on sales operations and business processes as they do on the technology.  His team’s operating experience and approach is a great fit with our approach at HarvestGold – to focus on business requirements and processes first, and technology second.  This partnership will significantly expand HarvestGold’s delivery capacity and market reach in the Northeast Region.”

Steve Lippock, President - HarvestGold

TheNavigatorGroup is a consulting firm focused on managing the customer experience. We have three dedicated resources servicing the CRM - SalesForce.com space.

TheNavigatorGroup team has deployed SalesForce.com to enterprises as large as 1500 seats, and SMB implementations as small as 60 seats.  They have extensive experience leveraging workflow and in integrating channel partner activities through Salesforce.com’s Partner Portal (PRM).  In one case, theNavigatorGroup managed the global deployment of SalesForce.com across a large enterprise in two months. This effort included CRM Visioning, Blueprinting, Configuration, UAT and Training.                                                                                      [back to top]
What a year! Just as we have seen economic and political changes of historic significance in 2008, HarvestGold experienced our highest growth rate in the 5 year history of our company.

HarvestGold grew 30% in 2008 over 2007. We continue a steady
and controlled growth strategy, and we’re now moving our services
coverage into other regions.

Here are some additional 2008 highlights and accomplishments:

1. Vertical Market Focus: HarvestGold has developed significant expertise and experience implementing Salesforce.com for Manufacturing and Insurance businesses. With the recent addition of new publishing clients, we are looking at the Media vertical as a possible next market focus.

2. Marketing Automation Practice Area: HarvestGold added marketing automation products and consulting services to our portfolio of offerings. Through our partnership with ExactTarget, we can now improve operating efficiencies of marketing organizations, helping to build an integrated marketing and sales approach to customer acquisition and relationship management. Doug Hammer (doug.hammer@harvest-gold.com) has taken on a leadership role for this practice area as our Director of eMarketing Services.

3. Force.com Product Development: We have developed and delivered 3 new products in 2008, and enhanced our Dynamic Dashboard product. While not all of our products are posted publically on AppExchange, all of them are installed at customer sites and are deliverable today. These products include:

a. Dynamic Update for Record Management and Updates

b. Competitive Tracker for tracking competitive opportunities and wins/losses by competitor

c. Call Cycle Manager for managing and prioritizing territory coverage and relationship management activities

d. Dynamic Dashboards for Performance Management

My partner Mike Ripple (mike.ripple@harvest-gold.com) manages our product direction and strategy, and Bing Yu (bing.yu@harvest-gold.com) our CTO leads the actual development effort.

4. Enhanced Capacity and Capabilities: HarvestGold is now a five person team and we have established partnerships with large regional firms to bring additional resources to bear on large projects on an as-needed basis. We continue to deliver data conversion, integration and Force.com development services in addition to the more traditional CRM implementation and training services. We are seeing a significant increase in requests from manufacturing companies to integrate back-end quote, order and product shipping data with salesforce.com and we have strong references for this kind of work. Check out our web site for examples of our work in all of these areas. We are proud also that Salesforce.com reports that we have a 4.5 customer satisfaction rating (out of a possible 5) on our projects as rated by customers that Salesforce.com surveyed directly.

5. Regional Expansion: HarvestGold has expanded our presence from the Western PA region into the Great Lakes Region with strong coverage of the Cleveland area. We are investing heavily in marketing in the area, and enjoy strong reference accounts in Cleveland – especially in the manufacturing vertical. Brad Gross (brad.gross@harvest-gold.com) has joined the HarvestGold team as our Director of Cleveland Operations.

Thanks to everyone for helping to make 2008 a successful year for HarvestGold.

We remain committed to helping our clients meet and exceed revenue objectives at the lowest possible cost of sales by automating and integrating your sales and marketing operations.

Best of luck for a healthy, happy and successful 2009!
